BIO WRAP

Trichoderma harzianum 1.0% WP

(Biofungicide and Bio-Nematicide)

BIOWRAP is an eco-friendly biopesticide containing indigenous isolate of beneficial  fungus Trichoderma harzianum. It is a selective bio control agent which effectively controls soil borne Root-knot nematode (Meloidogyne incognita) and wilt disease of tomato and okra crops.

BENEFITS

-> Biowrap is an organic biofungicide and bionematicide.

-> It play dual role to control diseases and nematodes.

-> It also helps in plant growth promotion.

-> Increased availability of nutrients for plants.

-> Increase plant tolerance against abiotic stresses such as drought and salinity.

MODE OF ACTION

Substrate competition: It controls pathogens by creating competition for substrate and nutrients.

Mycoparasitism: It grows fast and coils around the pathogen, then penetrates through it and takes the nutrients from the pathogen. The pathogen eventually dies and is finally eliminated from the field.

Antibiosis: It offers a long-lasting control against the pathogen by secreting secondary metabolites which exhibit an antibiosis effect on the pathogen.

Nematicidal activity:

Biowrap can act by infecting, parasitizing and colonizing the eggs and young juvenile stages of a nematode which ultimately gets mummified and dies without causing further damage to the crops.

Crops Recommended: All crops.

Dosage:

Soil application:  2 kg/Acre,   5 Kg/ha

Seed Treatment – 50 gm per kg of seeds

Nursery Application – 50 gm /sq met

Shelf life:  1 year

*Enrichment of Farm Yard Manure (FYM) with bio-agent: Add one kg of Trichoderma harzianum 1.0% WP to one ton of farm yard manure or compost to enrich it with the bio-pesticide. Farm yard manure added with this bio-pesticide should be left under shade for a period of 15days, maintaining optimum moisture and in between it should be mixed thoroughly at an interval of 5 days for proper enrichment of FYM with this bio agent.

Note: One kg formulation contains 10 g biomass of Trichoderma harzianum culture.

CROWN

(Entomopathogenic Nematode)

CROWN is an Eco friendly product for the management of root grubs in agricultural crops. The active ingredient in the product CROWN is a beneficial nematode, controls the insect larva (root grub) that damages the root system of a wide variety of plants by actively feeding on the roots.

BENEFITS

-> CROWN is safe to non-target organisms and maintains ecological balance.

-> Non-hazardous to human and earthworms.

-> Reduces the population of white grubs by 60-70%

-> Does not create resistance in insects and residue problems.

Mode of action:

The beneficial nematodes (Heterorhabditis indica) present in the product CROWN (10000 IJs/gram) controls the white grubs, by penetrating into its body cavity through natural openings & releasing the infective bacteria that multiply and kills the root grub. Infected grubs turn red and can be differentiated from live grubs.

Target pest: Root grub

Recommended dose: 2kg /acre

Number of application: Minimum two.

Crops Recommended:All crops.

Method and Time of application:

CROWN should be applied during the evening hours, early in the season (1st beetle emergence during the onset summer shower).

Thoroughly mix with 100 kg soil or FYM and broadcast in the field before sowing or transplanting the seedlings.

Irrigate the field before and after application. Additional watering helps to ensure that all nematodes are uniformly distributed and ample moisture increases the generation of nematodes and control rates of the grub population.

Irrigation Application:

Prior to application irrigate the crop to ensure that the soil is moist.

->  Mix the EPN with water (150g in sprayer tank with 15L capacity) and apply using knapsack sprayer with not more than 30psi.

->  It can also be applied through drip irrigation as per recommended dosage after filtering the material with cloth filter.

->  Make a 15-20cm pit using crowbar for crops like sugarcane or maize and pour 20-30ml.

Shelf life: 18 months
